About The Company
Golla Art Gallery officially founded in 2018 by Selamawit Alene at Golla Park, Addis Ababa with a green tranquil recreational ground ready for venue for creating magical moments. Ever since from its establishment the gallery has been serving as a hub of artwork and artisans of different generations and became a place of artistic and creative center, helping artists to exhibit their solo or group work since from its inception and continue to be the source of hope and excitement for emerging artists .
Golla Art Gallery is also a manufacturing company which produces hand woven textiles (Gabi Scarves, Netela Scarves, Cotton Throw Blankets, Table Runners, Cushion Covers, Wall Hangings etc.…),unique and exquisite handmade Ethiopian jewelries with authentic designs and outsourced home decor accessories. We are committed to sustainable, transparent and eco –friendly production practice with the intention to deliver high quality products while promoting Ethiopian rich culture by empowering Ethiopian artisans.

Selamawit Alene
Selamawit Alene is an interior, jewelry, and floral designer. In 2000, Selamawit brought her talent and design expertise to her sister’s gallery, St. George Art Gallery, eventually becoming a co-owner of the business. In 2018, with the aim of expanding her enterprise, Selamawit embarked on a project to open her gallery. She undertook the meticulous renovation of a registered heritage house with Armenian roots, originally constructed in the early 19th century by Mussie Kachick, during the reign of Menelik II. Despite its state of disrepair, Selamawit’s determination and dedication transformed this historic house into “Golla Art Gallery”. Nestled within Golla Park, Addis Ababa, this exquisite gallery now boasts a serene green recreational area, offering a unique venue for art enthusiasts.
